Dementia Action Day Worthing

Date: 21-May-2019

Dementia Action Day in Worthing

We have a jam packed day of Action on Tuesday 21 May 2019 for Worthing's Dementia Action Day

Centred in South Street Square, Worthing, we will have stalls with lots of advice all day on Dementia, Carers Support, Services and Care for people with dementia.

You can meet Stagecoach's Vintage open-topped bus between 10 am and 10.30 am with many thanks to Stagecoach for supporting us on the day!

The bus will be taking people with dementia and their carers from Worthing and also the Alzheimer's Society Centre Club on a trip to Ferring where they will meet with Abbeyfield staff and customers for refreshments which have been sponsored by Home Instead. Music and singing will follow before the bus returns to the Centre Club and goes on to St Andrews School whose pupils are also supporting Dementia Action Day.

We will also be joined by Cycall - which is a great way for everyone to access cycling

Come and say 'hello' and find out more about how you can become a Dementia Friend, learn more about the disease and find out what we are doing locally to make Worthing and Adur more Dementia Friendly.
