Dementia Friendly Worthing in action this autumn

Tuesday, October 02, 2018

It's been a really busy September for Dementia Friendly Worthing.

Alzheimer's Awareness month created some exciting new things for people living with dementia and their carers and our dementia pop-up hubs have been popular. These started a Worthing Library and are monthly up to and including December. See our events section for details. Worthing's new Memory Cafe got going and nearly 100 Dementia Friends have been created!

This month is the 6th Annual Worthing Mental Health Awareness week which starts on 8 October. On Tuesday, 9 October, is the Dementia Day and our Open Meeting will commence at 4pm in the afternoon at Offington Methodist Church, South Farm Road, Worthing. Everyone is welcome.

We will also have our pop-up Dementia Hub at the Broadwater Medical Centre on 6th and 27th October, we will be at Worthing Library again on 17 October and at Coastal West Sussex Mind 30 October. All these reminders will pop-up on our Facebook page and also on our website diary.

The new Glamour Club is launched on 20th October - 12 noon to 3pm, so please check out the details for this afternoon of fun, music and dancing. You do need to book!

We have a long tradition of supporting people living with dementia and their carers.
