Our local police are totally committed to keeping vulnerable people safe and many of our Community Officers, particularly in the Worthing and Adur District, are Dementia Friends.

Sussex Police regularly run Think Tank sessions with their staff and dementia has been one of the topics that they have discussed and increased their understanding of over the past couple of years.

Learning about scams

The Pegasus Scheme

If you have speech or communication difficulties, registering for a Pegasus card could help you in an emergency.

Blocking nuisance calls

Operation Signature is full of useful resources and is worth browsing incase you ever need any of the services. It also links to a product called TrueCall which can help block nuisance calls and help police track down the fraudsters.

Carers and their families can also sign up online to receive the local crime bulletin which provides information of crimes in certain areas. This is a useful alert for families who may with to increase their contact with relatives during these times.
