Services & Support

Here you will find five pages giving you, your carer and family, signposting to available services within the Worthing area, that is between Rustington and Shoreham.

My local services

Listed here are the local services for people with dementia, often described as ‘respite for carers’. These services are run by experienced professional staff and are places where people with dementia can enjoy the company of others and participate in meaningful activities.

My local activities

My Local activities section includes gardening clubs and exercise sessions where people, who have been diagnosed with dementia, are encouraged to continue being active for as long as they would like.

For me and my carer

This section signposts services and support groups for carers and the person with dementia. Meeting others in the same situation, talking to a professional, finding a supportive local surgery or faith group, can often be challenging.

For carers

We have listed a range of support groups for carers of people with dementia as well as innovative programmes and training courses to help increase your understanding.

Ideas for home and living

Dementia friendly design, including the use of contrasting colours and textures, can improve home living.

We have a long tradition of supporting people living with dementia and their carers.
